Resourcing personal photos\, nature and imagination\, she recreates her memory of the subject in vibrant color. Kate’s artistic practice also includes making small mixed media works. Because of daunting odds\, ineffable beauty requires courage and determination to prevail today. Lush and delicate porcelain pieces express the defiant spirit necessary to thrive. \nAn Artist Meet & Greet will be held on Saturday\, April 6th from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. \nThe exhibition will be on display through April 11\, 2019. \nAbout the Artist\nBorn in New York City\, Kayla Sweet-Newhouse is a dedicated artist working primarily with ceramics and photography.  Her sculpture is informed by world travels and multiple fields of study\, from animal biology to the art and culture of ancient peoples. She currently lives and works in Venice\, Inglewood\, and Paris.
