They are currently providing services for Lions Center for the Visually Impaired\, a care facility for those who are blind or at risk for visual impairments\, as well as M.E.N.T.O.R.S. Inc.\, an organization offering resources and opportunities to improve the socio-economic conditions of underserved communities. Past projects include Kedren\, a children’s psychiatric hospital; ICLC\, a law firm on Skid Row providing pro bono legal services; and Care Harbor\, a healthcare event providing medical services to uninsured or underinsured individuals in Southern California. \ngivingdesign.org

SUMMARY:Louis Poulsen Hosts a Celebration of Hope Gala Supporting Huntington's Disease Society
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, November 17th from 6:30 to 10 pm\, Huntington’s Disease Society and Louis Poulsen invite you to the first annual Celebration of Hope Gala – Shine a Light on HD.  The Shine a Light on HD Gala will be a night to remember as members of the Lighting and Architectural Design communities join forces in support of those faced with HD. \nHuntington’s Disease is a fatal genetic disorder that causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain. It deteriorates a person’s physical and mental abilities during their prime working years and has no cure. HD is known as the quintessential family disease because every child of a parent with HD has a 50/50 chance of carrying the faulty gene.
