DESCRIPTION:Helms Design District is proud to welcome Living Art\, an inclusive exhibition presented by L.A. GOAL and Inside Out Productions (IOP)\, celebrating creativity\, imagination\, and the power of artistic expression. \nBringing together artists of all abilities and backgrounds\, Living Art showcases a vibrant collection of work inspired by the voices and visions of L.A. GOAL’s artists. From whimsical scenes and imaginative landscapes to bold textures\, unexpected perspectives\, and expressive forms\, the exhibition reflects a world where creativity knows no boundaries. \nMore than an art exhibition\, Living Art is an invitation to connect. Through painting\, mixed media\, and other creative practices\, participating artists share unique stories and experiences while demonstrating how art can build understanding\, spark conversation\, and bring communities together. \nAt Helms\, we believe creativity thrives when diverse perspectives are welcomed and celebrated. We are honored to partner with L.A. They are currently providing services for Lions Center for the Visually Impaired\, a care facility for those who are blind or at risk for visual impairments\, as well as M.E.N.T.O.R.S. Inc.\, an organization offering resources and opportunities to improve the socio-economic conditions of underserved communities. SUMMARY:Louis Poulsen Hosts a Celebration of Hope Gala Supporting Huntington's Disease Society
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, November 17th from 6:30 to 10 pm\, Huntington’s Disease Society and Louis Poulsen invite you to the first annual Celebration of Hope Gala – Shine a Light on HD.  The Shine a Light on HD Gala will be a night to remember as members of the Lighting and Architectural Design communities join forces in support of those faced with HD. \nHuntington’s Disease is a fatal genetic disorder that causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain. It deteriorates a person’s physical and mental abilities during their prime working years and has no cure. HD is known as the quintessential family disease because every child of a parent with HD has a 50/50 chance of carrying the faulty gene.
