DESCRIPTION:We invite you to join us on Helms Walk\, our pedestrian plaza on Helms Avenue\, for our 7th Annual Sunset Cinema series. This year\, we are craving a little action and adventure so we’ll host four weeks of outdoor screenings of some of our favorite classic action/adventure/sci-fi films. First up in our series: RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. Come by early to shop\, grab a bite or get a movie snack to go. We’ll provide plenty of chairs\, so bring your friends and neighbors for a little free fun under the stars! Free Valet parking on Helms Avenue and Venice Boulevard. \n\nRAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK \n1981 | Rated PG | Runtime: 115 Min \nIndiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is no ordinary archeologist. When we first see him\, he is somewhere in the Peruvian jungle in 1936\, running a booby-trapped gauntlet (complete with an over-sized rolling boulder) to fetch a solid-gold idol. He loses this artifact to his chief rival\, a French archeologist named Belloq (Paul Freeman)\, who then prepares to kill our hero. In the first of many serial-like escapes\, Indy eludes Belloq throughout the film and takes the audience on a 115-minute thrill ride. \n\nSPECIAL PRE-MOVIE GUEST: \nROSIES Foundation will be bringing the ROSIES Bus to Helms Avenue from 4 to 7pm\, featuring an exclusive Frozen Yogurt sandwich from The Bigg Chill and Enjoyer Popsicles.
