DESCRIPTION:We invite you to join us on Helms Walk\, our pedestrian plaza on Helms Avenue\, for our 7th Annual Sunset Cinema series. This year\, we are craving a little action and adventure so we’ll host four weeks of outdoor screenings of some of our favorite classic action/adventure/sci-fi films. The third film in our series: STAR TREK: The Future Begins. Come by early to shop\, grab a bite\, or get your movie snack to go. We’ll provide plenty of chairs\, so bring your friends and neighbors for a little free fun under the stars! Free Valet parking at Helms Avenue and Venice Boulevard. \n\nSTAR TREK: The Future Begins \n2009 | Rated PG-13 | Runtime: 128 Min \nJ.J. Abrams resurrects the classic science fiction franchise created by Gene Roddenberry with this feature film that embraces the rich history of the influential television and film series while also exploring some uncharted territory. The original characters come to life with Zachary Quinto in the role of the Federation Starfleet lieutenant and Vulcan\, Spock\, Anton Yelchin as navigator Pavel Chekov\, Zoe Saldana as officer Uhura\, Simon Pegg as chief engineer Montgomery Scott (aka “Scotty”)\, and Eric Bana as the villainous Nero. John Cho also boards the Enterprise as Hikaru Sulu\, with Chris Pine and Karl Urban assuming the legendary roles of Captain Kirk and Leonard “Bones” McCoy\, respectively. \n\nSPECIAL PRE-MOVIE GUEST: \nROSIES Foundation will be bringing the ROSIES Bus to Helms Avenue from 4 to 7pm\, featuring an exclusive Frozen Yogurt sandwich from The Bigg Chill and Enjoyer Popsicles.
