In 2018\, a joint venture between Macerich and Hudson Pacific Properties announced plans to redevelop the declining Westside Pavilion into creative office space. The following year\, tech giant Google pre-leased the entirety of the office space totaling nearly 600\,000 square feet\, further expanding their Los Angeles footprint. \nThe panel will explore the first-of-its-kind conversion of urban mall to creative office\, providing insights into innovative adaptive reuse strategies.
