Projecting Possibilities, a digital public art project launched during the pandemic, returns to showcase local artists and to celebrate our rich, creative community. Helms Design District, in partnership with Culver Arts, will feature a new artist each month, projecting their artwork street-side on the entry doors to the Helms Design Center located at 8745 Washington Boulevard in Culver City. With easy community viewing, this outdoor gallery’s projections can be viewed from 8:00 pm until 2:00 am. Jae Pak is the Culver Arts grant recipient for the month of August. His work will be displayed from August 1st through August 31st.
ABOUT JAE
Inspired by his son, Enzo, Dr. Jae Pak embarked on creating a children’s book to illustrate daily lessons and manners, rekindling his lifelong passion for art. Since 2000, Jae has dedicated himself to mastering digital illustration, diligently documenting his daily progress on Instagram. This personal challenge has resulted in over 1,600 digital paintings shared daily, at one point captivating more than a quarter-million followers.
Dr. Jae Pak is a multidisciplinary creator with diverse expertise, holding degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from U.C. Irvine and a Medical Degree from the Medical College of Virginia (VCU). His innovative designs have illuminated the Las Vegas skyline with fiber optic lighting systems and advanced technologies used by Navy stealth ships and Harrier jets, earning him multiple U.S. patents. In addition to his engineering accomplishments, Dr. Pak serves as an Emergency Medicine physician and is internationally recognized as a celebrity hair restoration surgeon based in Brentwood, California. This exhibition represents Dr. Pak’s artistic evolution—a vibrant journey of discovery and creativity.
