From the miniature to the monumental, Hicks’ colorful, playful textile sculptures of all shapes and sizes chronicle 50 years of her practice.

    Projecting Possibilities, a digital public art project launched during the pandemic and returns to showcase local artists and to celebrate our rich, creative community. Helms Bakery District, in partnership with Culver Arts will feature a new artist each month projected street-side at the Helms Design Center at 8745 Washington Boulevard in Culver City. Daisuke Okamoto is the Culver Arts grant recipient for the month of July. His work will be displayed from July 1st through July 31st.

This is a deeply personal photo diary chronicling the decade of Memphis—‘the last design revolution’, headed by maestro Ettore Sottsass, the leaning tower of Italian design.
