    On Thursday, July 8th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, please join us for a conversation with April Greiman on the launch of her latest book, WhiteSpace: April Greiman Photography, an arresting collection of 34 digital photographs and short writings by 25 women in design, art, architecture and poetry, on the abstract subject of whitespace. “WhiteSpace is like a trip to the desert with April and her wonderful colleagues. A master class in shadow and light,” writes Laurie Haycock Makela in the foreword.  During the evening, April will be joined by contributors to the book, including Frances Anderton, for a series of readings and insights into April's use of bold color, negative space, and breaking boundaries in art, design, and architecture.

    On Tuesday, June 23rd at 7:00 PM, please join Textile Arts LA for Textile Slam! Textile Arts has transitioned their popular Textile Slam! into an online experience. Please join them for a series of six-minute presentations from artists, curators, and friends. Until we are able to host them again in the Helms Design Center, enjoy "facetime" with old and new friends while hearing (and seeing!) from LA's textile-artist-creative community.
