Book Signing + Discussion with Eric Doeringer
Book Signing + Discussion with Eric Doeringer

Please join Arcana: Books on the Arts on Saturday, April 11th between 4:00 and 6:00 PM for a very special presentation of Books & Co. – an exhibition of publications by appropriation artist Eric Doeringer. Doeringer recreates iconic books by artists such as Ed Ruscha, Richard Prince, Sol Lewitt, and Dieter Roth. For example, his edition of Some Los Angeles Apartments presents photographs of each of the buildings in Ed Ruscha’s book of the same title, but shot by Doeringer forty years after the original.
Featuring more than twenty-five publications, this will be the most comprehensive exhibition of Doeringer’s books to date. In addition to the opportunity to meet the artist and get a book – or books – signed, the artist will be producing an exclusive sixteen-page publication to accompany the event.
Eric Doeringer is a Los Angeles-based artist who remakes work by other artists. He has exhibited at institutions including MoMA PS1, The Whitney Museum, The Brooklyn Museum, MassMoCA, and La Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris. Doeringer’s artwork and books are in the collections of  MoMA, The New York Public Library, The Whitney Museum, The Brooklyn Museum,  The Getty Center, SFMOMA, The National Gallery of Canada, The Baltimore Museum, and numerous university libraries.
