We’re excited to continue our Sidewalk Stories series at Helms Design District—a visual celebration of the vibrant shops, restaurants, and showrooms that make our community unlike any other. More than just a destination, Helms is a place where history, creativity, and connection converge—and yes, where pasta makes us happy.
Helping us tell these evolving stories is Nancy Nimoy, a longtime Helms tenant whose illustrations capture the warmth, personality, and soul of the district. Through her art, we celebrate not just the meals and menus, but the people behind them — the chefs, families, and friendly faces who welcome you in and keep you coming back.

Come for the pasta. Stay for the everything
This next chapter is all about flavor. Helms is home to some of LA’s most beloved dining spots, including chef-driven kitchens and family-owned faves like the ever-popular Pasta Sisters, where the motto is simple and joyful: Pasta makes me happy. We couldn’t agree more.
With a new twist on our tagline, we’re shining a spotlight on the culinary heartbeat of the district. From hand-crafted tagliatelle to inventive small plates, there’s something for every appetite. And once you’re here, the design showrooms and shops invite you to linger a little longer.
What’s Next
Sidewalk Stories is just heating up. In the coming weeks, we’ll unveil new illustrations inspired by the real people and real places that bring Helms to life—from cozy restaurants to creative spaces and everything in between.
Follow along on our website and social channels as we roll out this celebration of community, cuisine, and creativity — one delicious, artful story at a time.
