The latest chapter of Sidewalk Stories shines a light — literally — on one of the most defining elements of the Helms Design District: illumination. At Helms, lighting goes beyond fixtures and bulbs. It shapes atmosphere, highlights materials, and brings ideas into focus.
Bright Ideas Begin Here
From sculptural pendants glowing in showroom windows to sunlight stretching across Helms Avenue, light invites you to pause and see things differently. Whether you’re planning a design project or simply enjoying the way the district comes alive throughout the day, inspiration appears in both bold statements and quiet moments.
Come for the bright ideas. Stay for the everything.
At Helms, those ideas live in the details, the design, and the conversations that unfold along the way. You may arrive looking for a specific solution, but you’ll leave with a fresh perspective.

Lighting the Way
Step into Helms and discover lighting that’s as thoughtful as it is beautiful. Our lighting and interiors showrooms pair expertly crafted fixtures with knowledgeable consultants who approach illumination as both art and function. From statement pieces to subtle accents, each space offers ideas that can transform the way you experience your home or workspace.
Illustrated by longtime Helms tenant Nancy Nimoy, this installment of Sidewalk Stories captures the glow of creativity and the energy that light brings to Helms, a reminder that illumination here is always an invitation.
