What an incredible four days at the Helms Design District! We are filled with gratitude for everyone who joined us during the LA Rebuilds events.
Last weekend, Helms had the privilege of hosting LA Rebuilds, a program presented by the Cal Poly LA Metro Program, bringing together architects, students, and civic voices to consider the future of Los Angeles through design.
From the opening exhibition to the sold-out symposium, the conversations were thoughtful, timely, and deeply rooted in the realities of our city. The work on view, and the dialogue it sparked, reminded us that the built environment is not just about structures, but about the communities they serve and the resilience they support.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Cal Poly LA Metro Program, to Stephen Phillips for his leadership and vision, and to the many architects, planners, and contributors who shared their ideas and perspectives. A special thank you to the Cal Poly students, whose work and presence brought both rigor and optimism to the exhibition.
And to everyone who joined us, whether attending the symposium, visiting during docent hours, or simply spending time with the work, thank you for being part of the conversation.
Moments like these reflect what Helms strives to be: a place where ideas are shared, questions are explored, and community comes together. Enjoy some of the highlights from the events.
With much appreciation, The Helms Design District Team
